Help On Aerokit!

Hi everyone, this thread is just to post ur pics of THE BEST MINI WITH AN AEROKIT, as I know how much we all like it. Plus one ? can u keep the top and bottom half of the grill chrome like in this photo? if so how do u go about doing this? do u ask bmw when fitted.

The top half of the grille should be pretty simple as there are several bolts inside the bonnet holding it on. Not so sure about the bottom half tho.

obviously i would just ask bmw to leave my top grille but do they swap the grilles over or do they order it the way i want it?

I asked about this too.. i wanted to know if i could keep my chrome bits at the front yet have the aero bumper. They were unsure. would have to check.. one guy said it was do able .

HEY PJH, its obvios u can keep the top main grille as its not part of the bumper its the bottom bit i want to know about. i persume u can do it as seen in the pic! guess when order the kit u just explain u dont need the black radiator grille.

Alrite bud, yeh thats what this guy said. there was a mini with the kit and one with the chrome next to it and from looking at it we rekoned that the chrome strips would just fit in as normal. the dimensions are no different. its just the lower part of the bumper is a different design. afterall its only stuck on anyway

the one bit i would loose on an 05 mini is the single strip across the bottom as thats where it is a different shape.

i think the chrome grille helps to give the mini that classy look. i like that black grill but nowhere near as much

Yeh it looks ace in peoples mirrors too. especially when the suns on it. its like Jaws out of bond smiling at you!!
