My mum woke up this morning, loaded the boot of her new mini cooper only to find some bar stewards nicked her COOPER badge off the rear!!

in tears, she rove off to work, as the little sods have scratched up the boot of her car also!! i said id try to sort it for her, anyone got any ideas how much a touch up respray should cost? its only a small area around the badge.

Plus, where do i get a new badge from? will BMW do it? how much are they and do i need a part number?

Sorry to hear the bad news - we all hope that this won't become a trend.
The badge can be replaced by your dealer, just visit their spares dept.
You will need a touch up or a panel respray depending on the amount of damage - it can all be fixed - but it will cost.

Thats bad news :mad

Your BMW parts dept will be able to order you a new badge, no idea of price or part number though I'm afraid.

If the scratch isn't too bad you might be able to buy something from Halfords to repair the area, but without seeing it is hard to say. I managed to get a very shallow scratch off my bonnet with some autoglym super resin polish.

yeah, we reckon it was an old style mini cooper owner!!! cos we saw one drive into our cul-de-sac and then leave!!

How about that for a mixed-message; A classic Mini with a new MINI Cooper logo and an MG Union Jack/Checkered Flag badge. I'd say that car has an identity crisis...
