Scottish Window Tints?

I'm thinking of getting the Windows of my BRG Cooper tinted darker but don't know how to go about this...

Does it affect my warranty in any way?

How dark is legal - and do they *really* care?

Can it be undone (e.g. if I'm selling it and new buyer doesn't like it?)

Where is a good place to get it done? Can my MINI dealer do it and is there any advantage to this?

Do interior panels have to be removed? What is the chance of damage being done?

What will it cost (roughly)?

Thanks for any help!

Pentagon in cumberland street get a very good name, most dealers outsource to them, I've not had it done but up here (newton mearns) there are loads of cars with the pentagon logo, all are very nicely done, If you contact them, please let me know what gives as I'm considering it also.

cheers

Anyone had this done yet in Scotland? My dealer in edinburgh quoted me £300, but while I was in Aberdeen, the dealer there quoted £225. My dealer nearly choked when I told him this :-))

Have a look at my gallery for a tinted BRG/White legal limit at front (30%), limo black at back (95%).

It doesn't effect warranty at all, is being offered as factory option soon (light tinting of rear windows I think)

Is just a film stuck on the inside of window (although unless it's the halfords crap, it doesn't look like it) so it is easy to remove if necessary.

I wouldn't go above legal limit at the front, some insurance companies won't insure you if you do.

When mine was done, the front door cards were removed. Not much chance of damage as it's quite easy and straight forward

I was charged £206 for the 5 windows

Hope that answers a few Q's...
