Angry my s-spoke rims got stollen

My car did not have locking lug nuts on it. I have read on the the form that s-spokes come with locking lugs, so I never checked. I am wondering if my car should of come from the factory with locking lugs.

thanks.

No locks come as standard. You must purchase them as either an accessory from the MINI dealer or else from a 3rd party. (McGuard, etc.)

That Bites :(

Sorry to hear about that.

Locking lugs should be standard equipment, but then there's a lot of things that "should be". How about studs?

It looks like I will be sourcing a set of locks ASAP.

On the bright side, it's an opportunity for cool new shoes for your MINI.

Cheers

Perhaps that is only true for German market MINIs?

Beat me to it, I was going to point that out. All sorts of details on what is standard and what it not vary from country to country. To the best of my knowledge, none of the various wheel styles come with locking nuts as standard in the US. That way they can make a few bucks more when you buy them from the Accessory catalog for $31.00 (part number 36 13 0 141 577)...

Locking wheel nuts are standard in Canada for the 17" S-Spokes at least.

I agree that they are merely a deterrant, as it honestly looks like you could defeat it with a big enough flat-head screwdriver...

Incidentially, where does the locking nut 'key' go? I can't find mine anywhere.

Locking wheel-nut "key"

Should be in a small pouch/tool roll in the left hand side compartment in the boot.
