Offline | Carbon Fibre Petrol Cap FITTED!! Hi all, Was over at Essential Mini today to have a look at Si's brand new Carbon Fibre Petrol cap. He's already done a couple of these but i would be interested to hear your opinions on whether you prefer the CF or the chrome one. I know this is always said but i really don't think the pictures do it justice, but hey i guess that's for you to decide. So is it Carbon Fibre or Chrome that should be on my car??? |

Offline | The CF doesn't suit your car as your car has too much black, the CF looking grey. If you want to get rid of the chrome, I'd suggest getting the chrome one powdercoated black. Surprised you colour coded your Aero kit - because you're going with the white/black theme, I thought it would have looked better with the black arches. |

Offline | I think that CF can work really well with black. I currently have the boot handle and wing mirrors in CF and it seems to run through pretty nicely to be honest. Think that it's far more striking with the arches being colour coded, not a fan of black rims when the arches are still black plastic, think they can get a little lost. Cheers for your thoughts even if i don't really agree with any of them ![]() |

Offline | Baker - The black powder coating is an interesting idea, i'll give that some thought Cheers for the feedback guys, just spotted the pics are ratehr small. Had to adjust the size as they were way too big seems in the late hours of last night i might have gone a bit far! Will play around with them and see if i can't post them again, only bigger. Think to a degree the nail has been hit on the head as the CF doesn't photograph all that well. The weave is really good and the gel coating isn't nearly as milky as the JCW cf. There may have been some fingerprints on it though as I just snapped a fewquick pics post fitting to get an idea of the look |

Offline | Hi Paul, Hope you're liking the light change! I know i love mine, transforms the interior Don't think the weave is that thick tbh, the JCW weave is quite a bit thicker but as i said can look a little milky due to the gel coating they apply. I do think it would look extremely good on your car! Though i already have a few cf bits on and i must admit seeing the cap on yesterday i do think the car looked more complete, ask Si to see what his opinion was on it but the flow of the car just seemed to be enhanced by the cap |

| Hangin at the Krusty Krab | I'm just enjoying coffee and bourbons........Si's just fitting the rev counter back in, then a couple of LED strips for the footwells........then load up the MTH remap........then I'll have to see what else I can buy....... P.S. Si mentioned your JCW mirror caps have poor gel coat - you should get them changed IMO. |
