| MINI2 Regular | Aerial alternatives. My works car park has a low overhead barrier and when I enter it my aerial hits everytime with my sweet new Cooper S. I was just wondering if anyone had found a decent aerial mod which either lowers it substantially or changes it completely like the BMW shark fins. I have seen some of the shark fins on Ebay but they appear to only be in black. I have a white roof and dont really trust getting this sort of thing off Ebay anyway. Help would be greatly appreciated by this Mini2 newbie. |

| Eat my dust. | I've got a Honda S2000 one on both my MINIs, available on eBay from here. Bigger than I originally thought it would be when I ordered, but still looks good. Here are a couple of photos (not my car) from the auction listing: ![]() ![]() Now driving a 2006 Brabus Roadster Coupe PW/B Cooper S Works has gone to its new home! |

Offline | I also have one of those Honda S2000 aerial on my Minis. Reception is as good as the original, and makes the Mini look less like an oversized R/C car. Should point out that it is a standard Honda aerial, I have seen it fitted on other Honda's. However, S2000 aerial does sounds better than Civic aerial! ![]() |

Offline | Honda Civic aerials are cheaper too. Same seller/different price. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CAR-AERIAL-ACCORD-CIVIC-CR-V-HR-V-S2000-NEW_W0QQitemZ120001644137QQihZ002QQcategoryZ36676Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

Offline | I've got a real diddy von diddy aerial from an ex-Mini2 sponsor that's only 3 inches high No discernable loss of reception (well, radio is broken at the moment but when it was working I didn't notice any difference) the only bug bear I have is that it's a gloss black whereas the base is matt. I'll post pics if you so wish.![]() Lies need defending all the time. The truth defends itself. |

Offline | I bought one of these Honda aerials off eBay which I have fitted to my One Convertible Now I want one for my Mum's 2003 tintop One as well but I can't seem to unscrew the standard aerial Is it a different fitment, it looks like it might be moulded on to the base? I'm a bit confused as other people seem to have fitted them to their 2003 MINIs. Is there something I'm missing? |
