Scotland Another Spotlight Question!

Probably been asked before but can't find it !

Hopefully I should get my spots fitted this weekend (dependent on whether I get off this oil rig on Wednesday!) - can anyone answer the following please?

1. Is it possible to connect the spots to the main beam of my MCS rather than go down the route of fitting a new switch?
2. If so can I get detailled instructions on how it is done?

Thanks

Al

what spots are you having fitted?

If they are the original MINI ones they dont have a seperate switch and come on with the high beam anyway.

Hi Al

I have a set of the MINISport Quad lights and they are wired into the high beam circuit, Therefore not needing a separate switch, however everything comes on when high beam is activated From memory I tapped into the high beam at the rear of the headlight.

Hope this helps
Chris

Pretty sure its a legal requirement for spots to be connected to the main beam switch in the UK.

Simply splice into the high beam wire going to the headlights, and attach this to a relay, switching power from your battery (through a fuse) to the spotlights.
