This is what i wrote to BMW, Simply Taiwan's BMW would not take the claim

To whom it may concerns,

I have order a Mini Cooper S cabrio and took delivery on march 2006. I have also choose the optional stripes on the hood, which is Black with white. Ever since the car is well taking care of. My Mini is always parked under ground.
Until last week I have notice the black stripe has faded in just on the right side spot close to the air scoop on the hood. I have brought back to the Mini dealer in Foo Shin service center in Taichung, Taiwan. The reception of the service center has told me the spot can not be claim as warranty due to many factors such car wash or parking under the sun. But according to my knowledge. The car is still new with in a year and the black strip was factory installed in England. I believe the warranty is covered and should be able underwarrenty to be replace. I also believe the stripe is design to with stand the heat and other sort of environments that produce from the hood. other wise you would have so many recall on this matter. Therefore could I get a fee back on this matter. Other wise the BMW Taiwan is not taking the responsibility that they suppose to.

I have previous own many BMW while I was schooling in the USA( 325IS and 540i ) and now I'm Back in Taiwan I have also own 2 E39 523I and 528I. They ware all Joy to me and I don't want this bad striping experience to ruin my image to BMW. I love my BMWs
