My indicator lenses are more of a clear red than clear, the yellow disc and the clear red make the lens look amber.

Bryn, the pre facelift lights are different, the coloured sections are moulded as one, and there are no bits added to change the colour of the lens, all you could do is remove the chrome,

I rewired the rear lights so they work like the newer cars, Paul did a great how to..

just got my new facelift rear lights, here a pic comparing new vs old



new facelift ones are definatly better they are alot brighter even with the lights switched off!!

Its funny here in the US our facelift lights have red indicators standard, and i hated it, the first mod i did that i had ready when i took delivery of my car was facelift lights with the clear indicator.
So if anyone wants a red indicator the US lights are standard like that (i have a set in my closet i should look at getting rid of.)

personaly i think all the standard rear lights are a bit boring i have black lexus effect light on my black cooper and i love them they look much better in my opinion
