Get your (colour coded) bits out!!

Hi All,

Post your colour coding pics here.

I thought it might be an idea to start this thread to help those that are thinking about colour coding, or for those of you that already have a nice shiny colour coded mini to show it off to the world.

I am in deep contemplation about whether to colour code my arches etc on my Dark Silver S so I am after your morale guidance and opinions. I have the 18" JCW wheels see picture below (I hope it attaches ok). Your inspiration would be greatly appreciated and a few pictures would be even better.

Thanks a lot.

Im tryin to decide the same thing at the moment. I went to the bodyshop my local BMW use and he explained that where the black arch trims clip in to the body panel they loose smoothness. Its hard to explain without a pic but if you run your fingers round the arch you can feel bobbles where the lugs clip into the panel. He went on to say when you colour code them this is the proper way too that they will show the defects. So now i dont know what to. Im thinkin Black powder coated super leggeras to match the arches what u think?

They sand and prime them before they spray them so it sticks, here is mine:

The paint sticking wasent the problem it was the indents showing beacause theres a gloss finish once painted.

What a great idea for a thread!! I am hoping to get my car colour coded after I get the aero kit fitted and before the end of the year!!

I am also hoping to get the JCW R105 wheels!!

Neil and Mark, your cars look great and really suit the colour coding!!

Thanks for all your pics so far guys. They are some damn fine mini's you have and the colour coding looks great. Looks like you are convincing me to part with my hard earned cash.

vickietots - Snap, that is exactly the situation I am in and why I started this thread. I have bought the aero rear bumper and side skirts and want to get them fitted soon so I started thinking......... why don't I colour code at the same time.

Here is my mini that I am thinking of getting done.

personally i think it depends on the colour. CR looks great with the black arches but i though my BRG didnt suit at all so had them done. If your fitting an aero kit this is the least expensive time to do it

Had both of my MINI's colour coded, and think it looks fantastic.
(last one was Dark Silver by the way, so go for it)

If you go to a good place they can paint anything up for you.

Also had wing mirrors, jet wash covers, and ariel base done Pure Silver, and bumper and Areo side grills done Dark Silver.

I LOVE COLOUR CODEING!!!!

These cars are all lovely.... Not sure how much I would get used to the one with reddy/browny colour coding but am sure I would get used to it over time! hehe
