Online | Well Both me and my borhter are getting Aero spoilers today my dealer told us that for his Red car it would be £210 fitted... But for my Astro black car it would be £320 .So for my brothers its £155 for part and £55 for fitting.... but for mine its a load more ... They said this is because they would have to spray it them selfs..... im shore it says any other colour £155 in the Accessories book.... Thet then said after we questioned this they could do it for £210 but the part would have to be orderd in and this could take up to or over 6 weeks.... They had this problem with my cooper S filler cap they painted it them selfs and it was cheaper then getting one sent in.. How come they want to charge me so much more... Could they not just wait tell spraying an astro black car and doing my spoiler??. How come they say it takes up to or over 6 weeks??.. If these parts are at the Factory id be happy to drive the extra 10 or so miles from my dealer to pick it up for them... What should i do ? jordan ![]() MINI2's Resident Dyslexic |

![]() Time for CHANGE ! | Aerokits are not available at the factory, they are dealer fit. Some dealers buy them in painted, which takes a while , others buy them primed and do them in house if they have a decent body shop/paint facility. I'm surprised at the price difference, but one is mettalic so it sort of makes sense. Try another dealer, see if they can source it and mail it down to you. Maybe one that sponsors MINI2 can help, if you can see the Wood-man for the trees |

Offline | They don't have to spray it. Like Goonery says they can come from the factory already painted in your colour for £155 cos thats what mine cost factory painted. It will take longer than if they order a spray painted one than a primed one. One of the dealers I asked for it quoted me that sort of price saying I've got to pay for all the paint they mix up and the labour as they have to spray it themselves. Like that was the only option. I came on here and found out they come factory sprayed for £155! Tell them to get you a factory sprayed one if your willing to wait a bit longer. |
