Halo "Angel" Eyes sidelight Fitting

Got these today and have looked at how they fit and i struggling already

I can easily get the top 2 screws off but the one underneth i cant get to with a normal screwdriver. Do you have to take the bumper off? if so how do u do this.

Cheers

It can be done without taking the bumper off, i ended up chopping up a stubby screwdriver and used it to get that last screw out...after a lot of swearing and throwing the screwdriver about Putting the new ones on is a lot easier!

Many people say they take the bumper off - quite easy
I have never taken the bumper off & have fitted at least 30 sets of these, you just need a stubby screwdriver

You'll probably also find that when you turn the iginition on, they will flash a few times... again this is normal

You'd only notice it at night though.

I fitted mine yesterday morning, only took about 30 minutes.

Struggled for about 10 minutes trying to get a screwdriver to the bottom screw, scruffed knuckles, lots of swearing - then dropped the screwdriver, so that was it, the bumper had to come off.

Should have just took it off from the start - so easy!

Disconnect the indicator and sidelight bulbs.

Row of 5 screws along the bottom (you don't have to take out the outer edge screws, the ones to the front of the car as these only hold on the plastic side pieces, but it doesn't matter if you do)

Two torx bolts from the top of the bumper

Two bolts at the side, accesible if you put the wheels on full lock and there's a cut out in the wheel liner.

Swift pull from the bottom and it just pops off. There's an air sensor thing which just unclips out and you have full access to the sidelight units.

I have to admit, I was very cautious pulling bits off it, but it really is so much easier.

Yes, removing the bumper does make it so much easier... and the sensor thing you mentioned is the external temperature sensor (for the rev counter display)

......just need the silver bulbs - which bulbs are they, 581's....offset (pins at 6 o'clock to one another) or asymetric (pins at 7 o'clock)???

thanks.
