Offline | MCSC Aero Kit Fitting - Help Needed? Hi, Am going to get an Aero kit for my MCSC. I think I am up to the job from reading various threads on Mini2. However, bit worried about PDC on rear and side skirt fitting. I think I read somewhere that this months Modern Mini magazine is running a 'how to' article... Does anybody have the article? Is it worth reading and is there anybody who could scan it and e-mail it to me? Big ask, but hopefully somebody can help... otherwise it is a long drive from Essex to Derek Woodman Mini in Lytham!!! Cheers ![]() Brad |

Offline | Cheers, I have that pdf. It doesn't cover any convertible [R52] specifics though - I think their might be some trimming of the side skirts required to allow for the extra strengthening underneath and the PDC bits. |

Offline | Hi Wozcoop... I have fitted Aero skirts to mine, and removed/refitted the rear bumper.... Aero skirts - you can either trim the skirt to go around the strengthening bar, or you can unbolt the bar itself. You'll need a TORX 55 bit with a decent amount of leverage. Unbolt one side, fit the skirt, and refit the strengthening bar with the same bolt. This is what I did on mine. With the PDC sensors, they come in two parts. The outer part (outer ring) pushes into the bumper from the exterior (simply clips in - pinch the clips to remove). The inner part (the sensor) pushes in from the inside of the bumper. The wires inside are long enoough to move the bumper approx 1ft away from the car before they start to pull. Any probs, give me a shout. ![]() |

Offline | Hey that's very helpful of you - just the sort of detail I needed. Hopefully getting some BMW instructions with the Aero kit, but again don't know if they will be Cabrio ones? I think I'll try and take pictures for future DIYers... |
