grille removal help

hi
i have a 02 plate mini one. and i have just got the front chrome grille but i am having trouble taking the old one off.
You just seem to unscrew the nuts and take it out. But i just cant undo the nuts the just keeping spinning and not get loose or come off.
any help on this please

Because the nuts are self-threading it tends to be the case that you can't get them off in the usual 'un-screw' kind of way. The ones that are stuck need to be broken off.

You might need to buy some more nuts from BMW (£1) or a hardware shop.

Easy really - did you go for the chrome grille or aero?

They are tricky to get off... I didn't need to snap any of mine off... As above they are self threading so will take a little longer to get off... I used a pair of pliers and a small spanner to get mine off... If they don't seem to be moving trying squeezing the black plastic part with the pliers... this will then allow the nut to form a new thread and come off easily... I've changed my grills three times and works a treat...
