Returning to huge door dent..... grrr

This afternoon i have discoverd that some "fatherless idiot" has left a huge dent in my passenger door.

I didn't immediately see it when i got in, only noticing when i stopped to refuel.

Feeling really angry as i know it was a transit in the car park at work. No cctv so no proof. And no note to give insurance details...

My wife and daughter are being great about it (my daughter cried as she loves the car more than me) but i just want to have a good rant.

So, the insurance is going to take a hammering. My local dealer has told me that it's a new door as they don't re-skin them.

Anyone know how much it is for the door replacement and repaint?

Cheers (in a very grumpy way)
Pete

Uurgh. Gutting. This has only happened to me once, and that was with an old Pug 205, and even that was annoying and upsetting!

Look for a paintless dent removal specialist in your area.. I do paintless dent removal for a living, ive already fixed a few mini 2's, including my own when i picked it up yesturday.. The doors are different from the old mini's, (more box-sections on the inside, and the mechinisms for the window and stuff are attached to the actual door card) so try and find someone who knows what they are doing.....and make sure they dont want to drill holes in the door edge to get the dent...... By the way, if the paint is broken.. then this method is going to be no good for you.

Cheers guys

My local dealer is getting their dent devil guy to have a look at the panel.
No paint broken and no creases by the look of things.

Fingers crossed

i had a small dent on my old mini one on the drivers door, i was quoted 600 pounds from my local dealer for a new door , they said the could not fix it as the paint was broken, in the end i left it and eventually part exd the car back to the dealers, so now they have the problem of replacing it!!!

Drive it like ya stole it!!
