I'm thinking for fitting some chilli red wing mirror caps to my 02 DS MCS. Does anyone know how much a new pair of mirror caps would be from a mini dealer?

maybe not at £120

the carbon fibre ones are not much more expensive!

I was quoted over £130 for a pair of astro black mirror caps!

There is no way MINI can justify that price, having had the originals off, and being able to look at the design, there really is nothing to them, a simple plastic moulding which probably costs pennies to produce!!

Luckily however I managed to get a pair of astro's from a fellow MINI2'er for £45.

I'd go for the JCW Carbons because like you say, they're not much more, and they do look very cool.

would be cheaper to buy a set off ebay and get them painted... costs for painting are around £25

They might not be as much as you think....see some of the E-Bay examples below. I know your in AUS but I'm sure E-Bay would turn up similar results over there?

Very similar to that

But i have not got the aero kit and have a black roof and black r105 wheels. was gonna get a carbon air scoop and tailgate handle and the chilli red caps.
