Aero Kit - Missing Parts, Help!

Hi,

Recently bought an Aero kit from Mini Sport which was supposed to include the Aero Kit itself and the black honeycomb grille set and rear bumper 'mesh' stickers.

However, when it arrived half the parts were missing. What I did get was:

Front Bumper
Side skirts (with a bag of fitting screws etc each)
Side skirt holders
Rear bumper

That was it. So I rang MS back up and told them they were missing part of the kit. Their second attempt arrived today and now I have in addition:

Honeycomb top grille bit.
Honeycomb middle grille bit.
Rear stickers.

However, I assume this means I'm still missing the grille that inserts into the bumper? Also looking at RealOEM, do I not need a general fitting kit which would include the screws etc, and what is marked as a set of fastening brackets.

Can anyone help and suggest if that's everything I need, or if anything else is missing before I ring them up again?

The front bumper should have;

Bumper
Bonnet grill (wide)
Lower section of bonnet grill (thin)
Lower bumper grill (large)

Also sometimes you get sections to blank out the fogs etc.

Rear bumper has;

Bumper
2 stickers that simulate rear grills

Side sills have;

holders/rails
skirts
2 small plastic grills
fitting kit (consists of about 20 fittings of different types)

Good luck

I don't think the bumpers have fitting kits as such as i think you use the normal bumpers fittings/screws. i imagine you can order these kits though for a few quid via BMW if you want to use new stuff.

Thanks!

It would seem that all that is missing now then is the lower bumper grill.

DIY

Just fitted a Minisport Aero kit myself, had a problem with delivery and missing parts too.
The rear bumper is just a straight swap.
Sideskirts should have 2 grills plus 2 inner rails which you fit the skirts to with plastic rivets(9 i think) also you should have 4 black clips and 2 grey clips which fit skirts to the sill.
Front bumper should have a slim grill and one large grill, no fog lights surrounds. The fitting kit should have 2 curved looking brackets which fit to the car using 1 screw and 1 bolts which held standard bumper on, also there should be 4 plastic rivets and 2 self tapping screws which you join the side of the curved bracket to the bumper.
Also you should have 4 reflectors which you need to glue into the bumpers.
I hope this helps.

When its fitted it will look great! Well worth it!

Cheers Keith

Thanks mate - it looks like I'm probably going to be missing those too.

I've already been on the phone to them again today so it's likely I'm looking at a 4th delivery to get it right.

It's ridiculous, tempted to send the whole lot back to be honest and get it from Woodmans.
