| Giggity-goo! | I used a soft cloth to protect the mirror. There are 5 clips if I remember correctly, 3 on top and 2 at the bottom. You can use a thin flat head screwdriver and gently apply pressure to the clip to lift it off the holder. Then you can ease the mirror back a touch, and move onto the next clip. You might want to put something soft down on the ground as the mirror can pop off quite quickly when you've loosened some of the clips. ![]() |

| R57? Bring it on! | Yes, one of my mirrors parted company with the car a few weeks after I got her - as I was doing 70 on the motorway at the time, I decided not to go back and see if the glass had survived the fall.... But seriously, I would also appreciate an idiots guide to changing mirrorcaps.. Cheers Ian |

Offline | I followed instructions in the Mini2 FAQ / DIY but still managed to break a couple of clips! They are very fragile if not perffectly lined up on fitting.Ended up sticking one of my new caps on with a strip of Halfords numberplate double-sided sticky pad fixers. FAQ |

Offline | Read the guide at North American Motoring forums - that's what I used. Basically you remove the mirror glass (much easier than it sounds - it literally clips on to the actual wing mirror) and then it is so much easier to remove the mirror caps, because you can actually see the clips. If you take your time you won't break any clips - I didn't and I am pretty butter-fingered! |
