Offline | NightFire Red VS Solar Red I would like to know what the difference is between NightFire red and Solar red if there is any. I just took delivery of a 2006 MINI two weeks ago and all the paperwork states that the color is NightFire red metallic, but when I look under the bonnet on the right-hand side I see a sticker that says Solar red metallic. Please enlighten me. Psalm 23: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for you are with me. |

Offline | Nightfire Red only entered production in April '07, and Solar Red only appears on Mini One 7's - a special edition. Therefore if you have a 2006 model that is not a One 7, you have neither Solar nor Nightfire Reds. EDIT: Just seen you are Stateside, so you very definitely do not have a Mini One 7. |

Offline | I would have to say my car is more like the nightfire red than solar red. Although the pic of the nightfire red mini looks too dark. My car looks like the attached photo that is labeled as solar red though. It even has the same bonnet stripes and the special interior seven. I guess I have a Mini One 7 car. Offline | You have a MINI Cooper and it has to be Solar Red. Nightfire Red was only available starting with mid-April 2007 builds. Solar Red was only available from October 2005 through May 2006, so I'm assuming you bought your MINI used. |

Offline | Yes, I purchased my car used from MotorCity Mini in Michigan. It was one of their loaner vehicles. I guess all the papers that state nightfire red are incorrect since the color seems to be solar red.
