Hi, ive looked around various Mini accessory sites and can't seem to find a red reverse lens for my 02 Cooper (unless i just need a whole new fixture?) I'd order the part from my dealer as a last resort seeing how I don't live nearby. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

edit: just for clarification I just want the small red light cover in the middle

A red lens isn't sold separately. The fixture is part number 63247166015 from the dealer. See here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...& hg=63&fg=20

The car in the picture (you didn't say if it was yours) is an older Cooper retrofitted with 05/06 tail lights, and in that configuration the middle light is a rear fog.

Thanks for that info, no, that car isnt mine but I plan on getting the same set up.

That car above is a face lift One Diesel Sept 2004 onwards. The one Diesel kept the pre facelift bumpers for some reason. Therefore that car had that set up from new. You can tell its a One Diesel as it has no exhaust showing.

Therefore its reverse lights are in the normal light clusters and below on the bumper is a Red Fog light. If you want to do this swap you must install the facelift light clusters too as you won't have a reverse light and in this country you have to have a white light as the reverse light.

A number of people have installed the new lights to pre facelift MINIs. Tigger, Eeyore & Roo has done this on his/her Cooper I think.
