Fitting Wipac's

Hello all.

I received my Wipacs and wiring kit today, and just had a couple of questions before I undertake the work at the weekend. Firstly I just wanted to double check the position of the screws. There's 2 that kinda go under the grill? Does this mean the actual plastic has to be drilled through as there seemed to be the plastic grill that sits on top the a metal bit of the bonnet?! Then the third screw goes on the inner skin of the bonnet?

There were also no screws with them, although from other threads I think this is correct? What is best to use. Any particular type/length. I've read self tapping, so this would mean the hole I drill needs to be considerably smaller than the screw?!

Anyway any help would be good, pics would also come in handy of the fitted brackets if anyone has some.

Thanks guys,

James.

yep you have to drill through the plastic for the brackets. My advice would be to go to halfords and get yourself a hand riveter, makes the installation dead easy and they are only 15 quid or so!
