to good to be true??

been reading throught some back post regarding the aero kit

story is im buying a mini cooper 2002-2003 auto in the next 3-4 months basically looking at ways to spice it up

now looking at previous posts prices for the aero kit seem to be around £850-£1000 supplied

yet on this website

M Style Mini - Body Styling Kits and Accessories

the aero kit is £899 fitted and painted does this seem too cheap??

also another question regarding the exhaust is it possible to remove the bottom of the aero kit in order to accomodate the orginal exhaust until i can upgrade the exhaust to the twin central ones???

cheers

the reason it seems cheap is because it doesn't include the aero kit spoiler - but the full package from a dealer does - it's around £260 on it's own.

As for the bumper - am I right in assuming you have a one/cooper and you twin centre S exhausts? In which case get them to supply but not fit the rear bumper and then do it yourself once the exhausts are done. It's a very simple process - me and Jaffaracer fitted my entire aero kit in about 4 hours flat.

well that explains that lol i wasent sure about the aero spoiler or go for the jcw carbon fibre spolier???

ermm as for the rear bumper im thinking of getting a conversion kit to change it from the single side exhaust to the twin central exhaust

looks like ive got alot of saving to do!! aiming to get around £2000 saved up to modify it ie bodykit/spoiler/cooper s bonnet/ etc and looking at spending £8000 on the actual car

cheers

I've used them - all in all, poor. Very cheap prices, but you get what you pay for.

Hate to say it, but had nothing but problems from them - kits taking all day to fix, driving 90 miles home to find pieces hanging off, scratches on the car... list goes on.

It seems as though the problem isn't with management, of which Dan and co are very courteous and willing to help, but their mechanics and technicians don't really have a clue... plus they take on FAR TOO MUCH WORK to be able to cope with it...

You have been warned.

PS - other people have loved them!

the quote for £899 fitted excludes VAT so you're looking at £1056 in total,

i did enquiry just supply only and the £599 excludes VAT and the whole kit needs to be painted to your colour which costs approximately £800....

I paid £667 delivered from here to me and fitted it in around 6-7 hours. Worth doing yourself as you save a few quid and you will take alot more care over fitting it over any bodyshop. I got £50 off the price on there site so worth bargaining.

They don't come with any instructions, but there are some online -

http://www.motoringfile.com/howto/Ae...%20Bodykit.PDF

Then using that and searching on the forum its not that bad. The only tricky part is the front bumper and the moving the fogs, but its just a matter of time. The rear bumper and skirts are pretty easy to do

If you have the time its worth doing it IMO

England

Have fitted two Aero kits from the same supplier as james 3200 got his kit from, only problem i had was with missing lenses when first delivered. Other than that great valve and look's the dogs ********!
You only have to move the fog lights if you have One/Cooper.
Take i look in my gallery for the results

Great choice on the Aero Kit, it will look

I had a full kit put on my car the other day by Woodman MINI .

On the subject of exhausts, because the diesel's points downward, the dealer was unable to fit a chrome tail pipe to the standard back box... So as a result I was also looking for a soloution, so that I could fill the 'hole' cut out for the exhuast.

Anyway, after looking around Im having a custom back box complete with tail finisher made by PowerFlow exhuasts for £170. They have agents all over, so take a look at their website and find a place local to you to get a quote..

Hope this helps a little? Any local exhuast specialist should be able to sort you out though.

Regards,

James.

No worries.

I hope you get one on the car soon! I've had to wait 7months to get mine, but I'm so pleased with it!
