Offline | No TLC for me Right today was my cars first service 364 days old, Went in and sorted the oil and so on and the other problems, Drove the car to the super market as needed to get a few things, Walked round the front to find to that my Lovely checked bonnet stripes had been scratched some how ! passenger side ![]() ![]() Drivers side ![]() I went straight back to my dealer where, They came out and had a look at it and told me there was no way they could have done that, Evan tho my car did not look like that this morning !, After giving my phone number i was told they would look at the CCTV to try and find out what did it, I don't know how good there CCTV is but i doubt it will see some thing like that ! After getting home i thort id better wash the car as it was still quite dirty from the dealer wash. After starting to wash the car i noticed part of the black from the stripe was rubbing off!!! ![]() I did not use any chemicals on the car, Only Car Plan Triple wax Shampoo and autoglym fast glass, Not only that after washing the car i saw there was an odd brown stain on the wing mirror, Its not scratched or any thing, So it could be inside it but I'm not shore !! As the wing mirrors have not taken a bump ! ![]() So all in all its not been a very good day for me ![]() Im now waiting to hear back from my dealer about looking at the CCTV ![]() ![]() MINI2's Resident Dyslexic |

Offline | Yup the dealer washed it, But not very well,As i had to wash it again, I asked if it was the Power washer but they said the don't do it very close, Only to rinse off the car, And they said when they sponge the stripes they do it carefully and if it scratched the stripes would have also scratched the paint work ! ![]() MINI2's Resident Dyslexic |

Offline | Oh no! Poor Jordans Car! My mini was scratched on its bonnet while it was in for its oil change. They didn't wash it at all and the service guy told me he thought it looked fresh. I always approach my MINI the same way, like to admire it and its perfectly smooth paintwork and the minute they drove my car up to the forecourt for me to collect I noticed the big scratch so went straight back in and compained. It took me a month to get a acceptance of a respray for my bonnet. They told me they didn't do it I told them they did. They didn't fill in one of those forms to state the damage on the car so they had no fall back. Did they do this for you? They said they were going to check the CCTV footage of my car entering the service bay to prove it was done before the service and told them to prove it and I'll be happy. They left it for a month (over Xmas) and used the CCTV rewriting itself as an excuse! Good luck Jordan having words with them. Don't stand for it! |

Offline | My dealer does not have a crash wash on a power washer and so on. They just phoned me telling me that they have looked at the CCTV and could not find any thing, As if a CCTV would see some thing like that , They gave me the excuse that it could not have been them as all there staff are trained by BMW.Also said the tech put on his notes that the car was very dirty, Dint know that was so important, Now I'm going to have to Phone BMW and complain once again, I never heard any thing about what they did the last time. This means at this rate I'm going to have to pay £50 + fitting for new stripes ![]() Aparently the wing mirror was not them, But i dint moa about that, My brother said he noticed that this morning, ![]() MINI2's Resident Dyslexic |

Offline | Our dealer checks all the existing dents and scratches when we take it in(with me present) and then we check it off together when I pick it up. Recently I had the door dented when it was in there hands and they had too fix it due to the checks above. Ask them if they did this and if so can you see the paperwork. |
