Offline | My whole wing mirror got stolen about a month ago, I will dig the receipt out later but I think total cost was just over £200 which included vat and labour costs. It was fitted by BMW who replaced it the day after it got nicked. Ive had to claim on the insurance as the door and wing got sctratched and dented when they tried to remove it, total damage about £1500. My mirror was heated with crome cap, fold in but not electrically fold in. I am amazed the alarm did not go off because I thought it would detect a break in the electrical circuit. |

| this is my world... | Thanks Wurzel. I've had a quote of £170 for parts only so far. Thats an expensive mirror! Mine seems to be a clean take, theres no damage or scratches. This is after i've had 3 nails in my tyres in last 3 months, i've had to replace the run flat each time... my MINI is jinxed! I hate to say it, but my love for the coop is fading fast! |

| this is my world... | If its in the middle it might be repairable. I had one that was repaired recently (along with the 3 that were replaced), the nail was in the centre so the garage said it was ok. You'll find a thread by me on this in the tyres/wheels section. As it happened, i was in the Blackburn area a couple of months ago when i found a nail!! I was in Clitheroe, and managed to get it repaired by The Tyremen, Parsons Lane (if i recall correctly). They were great, repaired it for a tenner, and treated my car and wheels with respect. So i highly recommend them! Anyway, back on topic, any more advice out there on wing mirrors? Can i fit it myself? Through a friend of a friend, i've managed to get the part at cost price, still £67.00 mind. |
