Viper Stripes

Went into my local MINI dealer yesterday and they quoted me £341 for putting viper stripes on my car!

Has anyone got a cheaper price from the dealer for fitting viper stripes?!

Or should i go about it myself?! The only worry I have is getting it round the vents etc...

any help is appreciated.

Dealers will over charge, my advice would be check some sign shops in the yellow pages and get a quote off them

Mine were ordered with the car (Bonnet Stripes), When I had my prev MINI, I wanted chequered roof and chequered stripes, I was quoted approx £110 for this from a local sign company, MINI wanted £100 alone just for the bonnet stripes!

A good car/van graphics place should charge £90 fitted for viper stripes!
The dealers often get a man and van specialist in, give him £50 pounds for an hours work and the rest is pure profit !
Look on google for car/van graphics

Phil posted some new catalogue items that aren't on his website the other week, see the link below and it's attachements. Prices for various viper stripe designs on there, and I'm sure his fitting would be a lot cheaper than MINI. Oh, and official MINI decals are not the best quality either, loads of posts on here about them.

http://www.mini2.com/forum/3120351-post1.html

Good luck.

Yep - we can fit from £150 all in depending on what color vinyl and style.

We will have all on our website, hopefully by the end of the week, but we offer:

• Vipers Narrow or Wide
• Centre Stripe
• Sports Stripe
and Bonnet Stripes of course

PM me for more details if you wish.

Phil.

How did you do the rear around the grilles? I see it doesn't go right to the bottom.
Did you get a pic of that?

mark-o, it stops at the bottom leading edge of the Bumper as they tend to look odd skirting around the fog light IMO

Hey mark, on the back I had it stop down the bumper but on the front im having it all the way down. There is more than enough there if you want it to go all the way down as I still have some left over now and I did one bit twice

I may change the back to make it go straight down but hav'nt decided yet

Mine go all the way down the rear but the crew that did it botched the job and had to patch it. I'm not sure how well that section will hold up to regular wear and washing.

It still seems true that if you want anything done right, you gotta do it yourself.
