Wink Help on Mods

Hi, Collected my MCS today, so now I want to do a few mods. The Mini is an 03 plate gloss black. To start with I having the windows tinted all round (obviously to legal regs). However this is where I need your help, the mini has alot of chrome on it , I dont mind it but I want an all black MCS, so I want to change the chrome, please advise the options available to me to replace the following :

CHROME WING MIRROR COVERS : Can I simply buy black covers only, do they clip off and on.
CHROME FRONT BONNET GRILLE : Can I change to black mesh, if so where can I buy one and is it easy to fit.
CHROME DOOR HANDLES AND PETROL FILLER CAP : Any ideas on changing to black ?

I think this will do for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

Why do I keep finding your threads Nick?

The door mirror covers just clip on (if you're really careful removing them you won't break the clips and can sell them) so replacement body-colour ones are easy to fit.

Does your front grille have chrome slats like this?

Or just a chrome surround like this?

With regards the mirror covers, do I just prise them off . definetly not stuck on then ? Where can I get black ones from ?

Cheers
Nick

A lot of MINI owners that don't want the chrome fit the Aero Kit front grille:

(This pictures shows the full Aero Kit, hence the different bumpers)

You can get this from any MINI dealer, and it is easy to fit.

There's an easy to follow guide to removing door mirror covers here in FAQ & DIY. You can, of course, order replacements from a MINI dealer, but if you know the exact colour of your MINI they often come up in the Classifieds on here or on eBay. There are also a number of MINI2 sponsors that sell them.

I'm in the process of doing the same... I've vinyl wrapped the filler cap and have done headlamp rings before (not xenon) I'm hoping to have my door handles and headlight rings sprayed in the very near future... Also worth considering dechroming the beltline... This is very easy to do and looks superb...

if budget allows a TT style cap in black would look good, otherwise a swap with a cooper?
i think you can get checker effect handles which will cut the chrome by half?
