Hi there

My prefacelift mini has xenon lights. Lately the right headlight doesn't always turn on. It is not always but it happens more and more now. Does anybody have any idea if it is the bulb or the ballast that needs replacing?
Driving with one headlight on drives me insane.....

Could try swapping the bulbs to other headlight to see if it has the problem on that, otherwise might be the ballast/Igniter problem.

As Aldo says - but ensure key/lights are off before going near the connectors as they work on a very high voltage that can kill!!!!

hi alex, had the same prob a few times - my mini is from 2003. changed them now 5 times:
1. the right one
2. the right one
3. the left one
4. the right one
5. the left one

always been changed by bmw without costs, because of a known problem (though out of varranty) the last time 4 months ago and till now everything ok. wanted them to change to xenon facelifts, but for some reason, bmw munich don´t want to change (same price!!)!!!
