Colour coded arches

Right, I'm getting my bumper re-sprayed soon, and was thinking about getting the arches colour coded too.

My mini is Astro black, so not sure whether its worth getting them colour coded or not....what are you thoughts.

If you do the arches you should also put some side skirts on,or have the exiting ones colour coded

Yeah i tend to agree...say on a yellow car the black provides a good contrast....

I'm just worried that with a black car its a bit pointless as you won't really see it.

You could do one side to see what it looks like afterall no-one can see both sides of the car at once

I'm just thinking if I'm going to do it, now is the time, as getting front bumper re-sprayed anyway.

i'd leave it aswel, not that im against it, i think it can look nice but i think you should keep yours as it is looks really nice with the black jcw's and the grill.

P.S. how did you do the grill? did you score it and then paint it?

Just got some Plasti-Kote from DIY store, sanded down the originals and sprayed a few layers on....not the best way....as its stone chipped now....so need to spend some time doing it proper once winter is over.

I'm wondering if everyone has had good experiences with the quality of the paint job and the damage after colour coding.
I like the idea of having unpainted plastic down there where stone chips are prone and I've seen lots of "custom" paint jobs (flames and such) that haven't held up and have ended up cracking and/or fading over time.

What the hell are you mincing at?

Get it done, when you can
it makes the car look ..........

Wider

Lower

Sleeker

Whats the Wait?

I mean what cars these days don't have colour coded trim as standard or even as a BMW option????
Black plastic trims I'd rather spend the day with Micheal Barrymore.

Thats my 2 peneth anyway!!!
