Offline | Red paints in particular can bloom (go pale and whiten) My chilli red shows no sign of that. In fact when I ordered a touch up paint for the odd stone chip I was surprised to get two cans. (I always get cans because spraying into the lid and using a fine brush is more effective than a stick which can be too thick to apply) One can was the red paint and the other a clear lacquer to protect the paint layer, excellent. |

Offline | I had an Astro black MINI for three years / 60,000 miles. It was always parked outside overnight, and for seven months was parked less than 100ft from the sea with lovely salty spray. When I traded the car in, it was given a good wash and polish (I did this every three months or so) and personally I thought the car was in showroom condition - the paintwork was as sparkly and smooth as ever, and didn't appear to suffer from fade. |

Offline | I got it from the BMW/Mini service dept at my garage. I canot recall the cost but I think it was quite expensive. The key is to be patient and build up thin layers and allow them to dry before the next layer, ( hours not minutes) |
