Yesterday I saw a pure silver One with a WHITE roof in Maidenhead.

It looked amazing.

I want a Cooper in the same colour scheme. Is it possible? Does anyone have one?

It's possible but your dealer will strongly advise you not to get one

There was a thread on it a while back with a picture but I can't seem to find that now

Why would they advise you not to?

I thought Minis were all about individualism.

Why should they restrict the roof colour for some body colours and not for others?

They may advise that certain colour combinations (exterior as well as interior) are less desirable when you try to sell it on later.

At the end of the day, it is your choice

I know you went for it dcfkan.

It's a great colour combination. It looks really positive and happy unlike pure silver/black which looks negative and brooding.

Does anyone have a photo to help spread the word?

Just checked the Mini site and the only colours without the the full list of roof colours are both blacks (no need), white (2 shades of white - maybe not) and pure silver.

I think that the pure silver contrasts well with white.

Can anybody with photoshop help?

I found a picture - from a Mini brochure.

If I can persuade my dealer to produce a pure silver/white Cooper then I will have an exclusive Mini.

I don't want to fit in with the crowd.

You mean something like this Luxemburg registered Cooper seen on the streets of Brussels:

I prefer the looks of silver & white to silver & black... I'd have the mirror caps painted white too though.
