Brembo Brake Caliper (Replicas!!!)

Would these fit a mini cooper s??

i know there not brembos, and there not going to stop like brembos, so please no silly comments like why not buy the real thing lol

SET of front&rear Brembo brake caliper cover universal on eBay, also Brake Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Jan-08 07:06:30 GMT)

dont seem bad for £20 plus postage, and its better than painting them red......

if alot of people are intrested we could possibly do a group buy??

I find it difficult to believe that these are being produced with Brembo's knowledge and approval.

If this is the case then I feel that Brembo ought to be made aware. I guess that this must qualify as a "silly comment" but, if that is the case, it just doesn't feel right and it shouldn't be condoned

They arent replicas. They are bits of plastic with a Brembo sticker on them. They might fit over your calipers. Should add as much to your braking system as fitting a coffee pot lid to them with Brembo writen in marker pen.

They might look slightly like propper brakes, as long as no one looked closely.

yeh thats all i meant, just to look good, im not going to really be speeding around so i dont need £500 brakes

but for looks i thought they might do the job, as i painted the calipers on my leon red, but they wernt brillant, come out good but just didnt do the job.....

would the plastic melt or anything??

It's impossible to tell for sure, but if anyone uses another manufacturer's name they are unlikely to be thinking too far ahead. The brakes will build up to phenominal temperatures and, unless the plastic is some super-trick material (unlikely), I'd suggest it's very likely to melt. If it does melt it could be very difficult to clean the mess up

Even if they do survive they could only serve to insulate the brakes from cooling air and would make it difficult to hose away the build up of brake dust around the calipers.

I imagine if you use your brakes like I do they would soon end up either faded or melted.
