Black headlight rings?

Anyone here know where about in the UK you can get black headlamp rings or carbo fibre ones? or as seen on line somewhere the black headlamps which look really cool (or know where there is a detailed description on how to do this yourself?)

I've fancied getting these kind of things on my Astro black mini for a very long time now, so think its time to bite the bullet and find out where to go for them

I think NewMINIStuff.com do them in Carbon Fibre.

EDIT: Think they might be R56 only....

I've Vinyl wrapped them in the past... It's also worth looking at getting them sprayed... I know of a few people that have had it done...

Its easy enough to remove the chrome rims and spray them...just make sure you flat them back well and do a nice job and lots of clear coat to protect them after. You can either mask up the lamp and spray in situ on the unit, or even while still mounted in the bonnet. But better is to remove the unit and unclip the ring and spray them seperate.

I have done it on lots of other MINI chrome. I also took a set of lamps apart and did the insides myself once...not the best job but it was an experiment.

Hi Mike, yes my car has factory fitted xenons. And its only the carbon units you have? Could you let me know what price were talking about either by emailing me through here or on NMS. And depending on costs etc I might just get Alan (Bonnie Scotland ) to pick up a set for me next time he is down visiting you.

Cheers Ali (zimbo)
