Offline | cooper s bodykit on a one??? hi, im seriously looking at putting a cooper s bodykit on my R53 one which i bought on my 17th birthday. the only issue is the exhaust, im wondering if i could get the end of the exhaust cut off my one and i new one put on that just slopes down and not out of the bumper, i would then have to put fake twin exhausts in the middle of the bumper! all this cos i cant insure an s!! what do you think?? Offline | I also put the whole Cooper S body kit onto my One. I loved the look of the S over the One but didn't want to be an S. See here for my Old One: http://www.mini2.com/galleries/showp...6/ppuser/15024 as you can see I left my exhaust alone and just swapped the plactic trim from my original bumper and put it on the bottom of the S bumper. Is your One a facelift MINI or a pre 54 reg? The plastic trim along the bottom of the rear bumper changed on the facelift bumpers and can't really be swapped. Research a bit more if this is so! Hope this helps! ![]() |

Offline | Everything fitted fine and I did it myself which is amazing! The front fog lights needed to be raised in their housing which involved drilling 6 holes in the housing for the new position of the screws but it was easy. I would say the rear took longer to do than the front. I removed my rear bumper but left the side rear wheel arches attached to the MINI so I basically kept all my plastic trim on the original bumper and just attached these to the S bumper cover. Theres a guide on here somewhere..... I'll try and find it! If you look through my gallery you might find some more photos of the bumper swap. I remember I've got a photo of what I looked like after finishing the bumper swap! ![]() |
