Yeh No.1 is the choice as it matches well with the other mods to your car

Keep it simple and that way things always look better, too much clutter on a car is wrong

You might have to go for the red reflectors though if you go for white lights, don't want you getting in trouble. Saw a Black MCS the other day with white lights with the red reflectors and they looked a bit rubbish. Good luck! Happy modding.

#1 to match the other black components, but the silver wuold be quite ok too, as the would match the fronts just fine, og don't add anymore black disturbing objects to this fine car !

BUT, you will nedd to find a matching replacement for the top breaking light also !

Thanks for the replys folks, much appreciated.

Im thinking now the Black LED's for definate although also liking Davids idea! The only thing im uncertain about re. the Black LED's is if I will definately need to fit a set of reflectors as Laura said. Its the Facelift Style I like the Look of.

Hartge210 thank you! You have one of the nicest Mini's on the site in my opinion. Been eyeballing it for ages

I really like to no.1 choice where are you getting these from if you don't mind me asking as i really wanna update my rear lights as mine pre face lift and i don't like em!

Also i have a standard cooper rear bumper where can/do you have to put the reflectors for MOT time (i'm assuming you guys mean the stick on ones)?? i was thinkin either side of the licence plate and keep em suttle! is there a regualtion on how big the reflector strips have to be and height etc??

I replaced the tail lights on my own pre-facelift MINI with the facelift items almost as soon as they came out. I really like the facelift lamps, especially at night.

I'd always intended to go for LEDs as soon as they became available, but none of the LED versions available so far are that interesting or imaginative The design is just the same as the facelift lamp, but without the interesting huge reflector bowl or the "Polo" tail light AND both the reversing lamps and indicators are still only conventional bulbs, not LEDs

I would either go for proper facelift ones, or wait until until something much more imaginative comes along in LEDs.... When I say "imaginative", look at the indicator / tail lamp combination on an otherwise worthy, but dull, current model VW Passat...

Tigger.

Yeh thats what I like about the facelifts too. Plus they make your car look newer

@Mark - Cheers Mate. Im really liking those, although I do prefer the look of the newer ones. They are a valid choice though and would look nuts on! Are you getting yourself a set of these?

Still undecided, mostly for #1 but the only thing that concerns me about them is that in my opinion black tail lights look a tad 'chavy'.

Thanks again

Alrite Mark. Best bet would be to head over to NewMINIStuff.com , they are the only company I know of that offer the adequate wiring etc for them to fit pre facelift Minis.

Most people have the reflector strips just below the chrome bumper strip, you'll also get these from NewMINIStuff.com. Although I can never see myself fitting a set of these, in all honesty I think they look horrendous. Of course they's be going on for an MOT though

Hope this helps
