Offline | I can make some more if people want one. Only one problem. I've got one piece left of the S/Steel I used that will do 1 grill. THere is another type of stainless steel but has bigger holes and won't look as good. If there is enough people who want them I can make some. The stainless steel I used was 1.5mm thick, I'd probably get a thiner one if I bought it in but It's not going to be cheap as these panels come in the smallest size of 2m x 1m so I could get a few out of one sheet. I'd have to get a price on 1 sheet though. The next thing that costs money is the Vinyl template I'd use I think it cost me just Under a fiver. so say £5 for that. then theres the Paint. The Paint for mine cost £10, (£5 undercoat and £5 black paint and the laquer came free from halfords) if you want a differant colour then I'll have to buy the paint or you can send me a can of spray paint you want. At the moment First Dibs goes to Matt AV51HCC on the S/Steel piece I have left over. If he doesn;t want it then Monsta has second dibs (for being a star with my Badges). If there are enough people I will serously think of making some but I would need to payed up front I'm afraid. I'll make enquires on how much that S/Steel would cost for 1 sheet, and how many I could get out of it. Not including the cost of the Steel I'd say it would be about £30 for the grill. May seem a lot but it took me and my dad ages to get the holes cut right for my grill, and then a lot of filing. Now we've done it once it should be easier and now we have my old grill as a template easier still but its the time to cut the holes out (Which my Dad did) and the painting (that I did). Painting takes 2/3 days if done properly, as you have to leave it to dry for 24 hours for the Under coat, and 24 hours for the paint to dry before the laquer (this goes over the WHOLE grill to seal it better) I've also got to see how it withstands a power washer, as I don;t want to seel summat that would just peal off when being washed. So if your intrested let us know. Also if Mini One Owners want ONE, or if people want a negative image version, (Black grill S/Steel writing) thats an option to. Just let us know and I'll see what I can do. Thanks Glad you like it ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Looks good, thats the same as on your Wheel hubs isn't it! I had the Vinylist to the template in the style of the rear badge, gave him a copy and asked him to do as best he could, I'm happy as it is, as those letters of yours would be to thin for the mesh. I still want the same hub caps as you though. ![]() |
