Will facelift lights intended to fit an 04-06 mini fit a pre facelift car i.e. physically and is there any difference in the wiring?? or should it be all plug and play?? thanks guys!

I think they will fit...

...but the difference is on facelift lights, they include the reverse light and the fog is in the rear bumper...this is the other way round on pre-facelift cars

erm ok! bit of a rewire which maybe a little difficult!

mind you i suppose its just a change in the colour bulbs in the rear lights i.e. from white reverse light to the adequate red fog light bulb! silly me!

Heya Mark

Very easy to do.................did mine a few years ago now and the difference in the lights is unbelievable.

I used this thread...............http://www.mini2.com/forum/exterior/...05-lights.html.

I have a Yellow rear and didn't want the red of the fog light in the middle so I have left the clear one on it and replaced the bulb with one that looks white/silver but glows red when you use the fogs.

Several ways of doing it, you can alter the wiring or I can supply facelift lights but with the bulbs configured to work without any rewiring or messing around - so just plug & play
CHeck out the lighting section at NewMINIStuff.com

cool! seen a very cheap set on eaby that are black with clear lenses that i will get to do me until i can afford some of the super lush LED ones on you website mikey!!

Only thing, the rear/red fog lights in my lights at the mo i'm assuming are clear owing to the red lense on the standard rear lights so i will need to get red ones but which bulb is it as they're brighter than the others! is it just a bouble filament bulb? and if i wanted LED bulbs a) are they legal and b) how do i know which would replace a bouble filament bulb or the adequate replacement for the fog light bulb?? thanks guys!
