can anyone help?
I'm looking too change my existing h7 lamps (dipped beam)
too some xenon white h7 bulbs/lamps rated at 12v 55w too achieve a HID look.
has anyone done this kind of upgrade and if so had any problems after installing>?
as i spoke to local dealer and obviously he said we cant recommend doing so unless original part
any help would be greatfull!"

Lots of people have upgraded the standard H 7 bulbs - take a look at Mikey the Minis site for options and good prices.

Just ditched those for these NewMINIStuff.com
As you get 90% increase rather than the little 50% which was good but why have good when you can have better

Am i right in thinking these upgrade lamps/bulbs are simple plug and play so too speak?
with no specail features needed?

No issues with heat, just put them in and saw white light and the road ahead

Recommend that you do dipped and full beam

thanks all for your responses!

as i find the standard H7's very low at emitting light and often find myself checking my lights are on when they clearly are!

are these lamps rated 12v 55w H7's;
  • Osram NIGHT BREAKER 90% brighter- Non xenon headlamps only
  • Osram Silverstar 50% brighter
you say the NIGHT BREAKER 90% brighter bulb/lamp upgrade over the silverstars as its quite a jump! but these wont wont harm correct? bearing in mind its a 2003 cooper.
sorry too be a pain with continuous question just want too get it right first time lol

lights

i recently had the Ultra HIDS fitted to the mains and then the Ultra Halo sidelights fitted. No problems at all the only reason they arent legal is because they turn off when you switch to full beam but they are brighter than full beam anyway so i dont understand this lol? if you want some pics i can put some up let me know
