Fitting Facelift rear lights to pre-facelift car

Ok guys, managed to bag a bargain last night on ebay £16 for a set of facelifted rear lights, as i'm starting to theink the clear rears look a bit chav. Anyway, What do i need to wire them up, i wanted to leave the reverse in the bumper and use fogs in the main lights.

I see on REALOEM that BMW offer a retrofit kit for facelift lights, do i need this or is it simple. many thanks

Oh and i also bagged a brand new boxed set of Clear lens Wipac spots last night fo £19. God bless ebay.

You can do it yourself but you need to splice/cut wires etc (not hard, but might be scary). Or get the kit.

If you want to use fogs in the main (facelift) lights the existing wiring will do that.
The lights are a straight plug swap for the pre-facelift lights, but the fog lights have become reverse lights so when you switch on fogs the reverse lights will show.

Either put red bulbs in place of the reverse lights, or do the wiring splice Paul refers to.
Here's a link where he does a great job in illustrating the exact splices needed:
