New Owner - Please Help - Wipac Spot Lights

Hello guys!

I'm just in the process of buying a Mini Cooper (01-06) and would like the spotlights fitted. After going to BMW and being quoted £350 I thought I would look into getting some another way!!

I have read your previous posts that I feel will come in very handy when it comes to fitting them, I just had a few questions that have not been covered.

If I buy the lights including the brackets and wiring kit (which come with a switch) will I be able to use this wiring kit to connect the spotlights to the headlights rather than using the switch?

If not where can I buy a wiring system that I can use to do this?

I'm thinking about buying the stainless steel version to avoid rust etc, but does anyone know if they look as nice as chrome ones?

I saw in a previous post that someone had put a link to a PDF that showed how to install the BMW lights and where to drill etc. When I clicked on this link I get a message saying the page is no longer available, does anyone know where I can view this document or does anyone have a copy?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me!

Kind Regards

Mini Hudson

Afraid I'm not much use to you, but it might be worth speaking to NickyJ (send her a PM?) as I'm nearly sure it was the Wipac spots she had fitted to her previous cabrio (might even have them on her new one too actually...).

I think her hubbie did it, so she might be able to shed some light on matters for you. Good luck!
