Bumper inserts

Hi guys,

I want to get rid of my chrome bumpre inserts on my cooper and go back to body colour but there seems to be different opinions on the best way to do this. I know if I remove them I have to unclip the existing inserts, if I do this is it a case of buying body colour inserts or will the bumper be ok when the insert is removed

i actually saw this yesterday, i had the bumper off to replace the sidelights to halos

The actual chrome bit has the clips that go through the bumper to clip on behind. If you took them off there would be small holes at the top where the clips used to go through. I dont know if it wood be noticeable or not but if you could get colour coded versions to clip in like the chrome does it might be better.

My non chrome bumper has no slots and there are no colour coded inserts where the chrome ones go. Therefore I don't think colour coded ones exist, it is just the painted bumper moulding with no holes or slots in it.
