| MINI2 Regular | Is it possible to close the sunroof and windows and locks from using the remote contol. The owners manual isn't too clear on this point wether you can have it set at the dealers. I'm sure that it should be possible as you can totally close everything whilst keeping the key turned in the lock. Thanks in advance ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | It should work - put the key in, turn it all the way to the right (clockwise) and hold it for a few seconds. The doors will lock, sunroof & windows will close. If they don't, take it to the dealer. Offline | Hmmm, in Oz it's possible to program the car to do this, but not legal as the windows will break your fingers because they've neglected to fit them with a safety clutch. That's what I was told on delivery anyway. ![]() |

Offline | Re: Mine doesn't even open On my car, if you play around with the remote, the windows go into denial, and won't close with the key in the lock. The only way I can remind my S who's boss, is to put the key in the ignition, get the EML light on, turn it off, and then try again with the key in the lock. Hey presto. These cars are weird. ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | Maybe because you're driving on the wrong side of the road? I'm not sure if lock/unlock is standardized internationally. In my car, locking the door and holding the key in the locked position causes everything to close, holding it in the unlock position causes everything to open. Holding the MINI logo down on the fob causes to open. Holding the lock button down just makes my finger tired. -- Cheese |

| MINI2 Regular | Not according to the dealer today. They cannot set the total closure on the remote for safety reasons apparrently the sunrof on Mini's and BMW's doesn't have a anti-trap mechanism so they don't fit a module in the locking mechanism to allow the remote to do it. ![]() |
