Offline  | Keyed As some of you are already aware, my HB/W MCS was keyed on Friday night.  It was sat outside my flat where it always sits, but when I came out to it yesterday morning I found some nasty scratches along the passenger side, boot hatch and on the roof.  I've only had the car for three weeks, and prior to that my LY/B MC sat in the same spot for the two years I owned it without a problem.I've already had a quote from a mobile paint technician for £200 to fix everything back to as new, and I'm taking the MINI to the Sytner bodyshop tomorrow to get a quote from them. I'm just so angry that there are people out there who will happily ruin another person's pride and joy just because they're jealous of it! Pictures are attached below.  |

Offline | Needless to say the car is now locked behind a gate beside the flats. I used to prefer parking it in the road because then I could see it from my window, but that didn't do me much good did it?  I can't see if from my window anymore, but hopefully now it's off the road it'll be less of an appealing target for mindless vandals. |

Vandalism to other peoples property is one of my largest bug bears, if I could catch anyone who did a similar thing to my pride and joy, he/she would be hung, drawn and quatered Judging by the scratches and how deep they are, your quote IMO doesn't seem too ridiculous - (well its £200 more than it should have been but I hope you understand what I mean) |

Offline | First estimate back from the Sytner bodyshop. It's not a proper quote yet but they reckon I'm looking at £1,500 minimum!  Really don't want to go through my insurance because I'll lose my 2 years NCB. Time to look elsewhere. I don't trust a mobile paint technician because I can't understand how they'll get the finish correct.  |
