After reversing into a low level spike holding up some temporary fencing I am looking out for a replacement rear bumper. The spike cracked the bumper under the chrome strip near the exhaust.

I am looking to fix as cost effectively as possible. Its a 53plate cooper chilli red, I have been looking on ebay for replacements. Something that doesn't need painting would be ideal. The question I have is will a facelifted bumper (04-06) fit the main difference I can see is that the light in the centre of the bumper is now a fog light not a reversing light - are they the same size.

Yes, it just fits straight on, although you will need to make sure that the sale includes the black plastic trim along the bottom of the bumper as this is unique to the facelifted car. It doesn't matter that the rear light is different as the lamp itself is just the same fitting, so your reversing light fits straight in

PS: The original item is better looking though!

Thanks for that, the reason I ask is that it opens up more options for replacement. I would prefer the original, but not too bothered.

Anybody got a rear bumper (01-06) for sale, chilli red preferably??
