Question Calling all aerokit front bumper owners

Just purchased a second-hand aerokit front bumper for my Cooper S. I have been told that I have to transplant the lower splitter from my standard bumper over to the underside of my aerobumper.

Does anybody have any pictures of how this looks??I am a bit unsure!!

Cheers

David

did you get the fitting kit with your bumper? Ifnot you will need to order one from the dealers,
I have swapped from a stock bumper to an aero, I didn't take anything off my stock bumper,

So do you need a different fitting kit to change from a standard bumper to an aero bumper?????

Cheers pobsey,

Thats what I thought, I have already contacted the dealer about the fitting kit. It's working out at £15.

Had an aero kit on my previous cooper s but didnt remember anything at the bottom of the bumper.

I didn't use it - you just have to cut a bit off the top of the bracket fits fine then

The adapter brackets are mentioned on page 4 of the install guide PDF as not required for a production date after 10/01.

There's also a parts list and comprehensive fitting instructions for the front apron.

Here's the RealOEM page with the parts codes. looks like you need 51110397175 if you don't have them already. You might also need 4 expanding rivets (51118174185) and a couple of self tapping screws (07136800836)

only if you have a cooper, cooper S bumpers have the fog lights in the same position as the aero bumper,

On the cooper it is straight forward thing to do, they are marked, all you need to do is put a small hole in the plastic surround for the screw to go through, 5 minute job, that easy
