On the question of whether the HID kit is illegal, I assume that you are saying its use on public roads is illegal unless the vehicle concerned has headlamp washing and levelling. That is not a defect of the kit, it is simply that certain other things need to be used in conjunction with it to make its use it on the public road legal.

That is not therefore the same as selling something which can never be used legally. If the HID kit was in this latter category then I might agree with the line of argument that a failure to warn the customer entitles the buyer to a refund..

Yes it is, as to be sold in the UK IT HAS TO BE MARKED NOT FOR USE ON UK ROADS / STRICTLY OFFROAD USE ONLY. Unless it was sold with headlight washers and sefl leveling retro fit kit which some kits are ( close to 950 quid ) such as the Valeo one.

Also if you buy an airgun, well completly different ball game, we're talking about non-road legal car parts. Maybe compare it to bike race exhausts
