Repaint Roof?

Has anyone been able to repaint their roof a different color? If so how much did it cost? I'm wondering because I could get the exact spec i want now except it has a different roof color.

This forum is great by the way!

At least one of MINI2's members has an alternative roof colour, i would expect the cost to be around $600 to you

see here for an excellent example

Hi Gas O, and welcome to MINI2

dcfkan's MINI Cooper "Apple" even has its own website http://www.appletheminicooper.net

Were you thinking of a solid colour for your MINI's roof? Or maybe some decals (see http://www.carvogue.co.uk for inspiration), else perhaps a custom paint job (see http://www.plmini.com/proj.htm for some great examples on classic Minis)

Talking I am honoured!

Thanks R50 and Bad Manners

Indeed I had Apple painted with alternative colour for the roof and wing mirrors

It cost me 470 GBP inclusive of tax to have the roof, spoiler and wing mirrors painted in Ford Signal Green. The work was arranged through my dealership, Carrs of Bury St. Edmunds

I would not know how much it would cost over in the States

Welcome to MINI2 by the way

Thanks for the info!

At least I know the option exists. I have a DS/W on order, but am thinking of switching roof color to body color. Maybe I'll just see how it looks and get it done later if needed.

DK sweet car by the way!

You can make changes to your order up until production begins (actually a little before but you get the idea) not sure if your dealer told you that, so if you do want to change it it might not be too late.

Yep! My dealer says that my new MINI should be spec-changeable up until about two weeks before its build date. I'm not going to bank on that though. I've decided on my spec now, and I'm sticking to it.

Yeah I changed my spec a couple times...problem is that it has already gone through the production line and almost here. Maybe I should just stick with it and stop being so indecisive. If it was any other car I wouldn't be so obsessive.

I used to be indecisive.

But now I'm not so sure.
