Erm lowering 50mm you arent gonna see half of your wheels mate Phat minis cooper is lowered 35mm front and back and the arches almost sit on the wheels. The ride in phat minis car is also pretty hard but this maybe due to the mini spares rear anti roll bar hes got. I wish you luck with the lowering springs but i feel your gonna have some problems.

lowered 50 up front and 30 at the rear? ok, but careful as it could handle like a pig...

You might get away with it though as phat mini is on 18's.

G8BAD is on 18's and got his 35 up front and 50 at the rear I believe...

I also know somebody who lowered his mini 30mm and it drives very hard!!
The standard suspension is rather hard from itself but IMO his lowering made it terribly hard. (especially in the backseat)

I wish you the best of luck with the lowering.

lowered

Hi

mines fitted with 35mm spax and Minimania rear anti rollbar and bushes. Also sitting on 18" Alloys with Aero kit, which gives the car an extra inch on the body, this is fine as it runs like a go kart.

I would say it is very firm ride but can be harsh when hitting bumps (ask loui)

Phat

Yeah as Phat says it goes like a go kart and corners very flat but over bumps it crashes and bangs due to the hardness of the supensions setup. Phat in that middle it looks higher than i remember it being at the midland meet especially at the back. Minilover i retract my previous statement that you will have problems with 50mm lowering springs as you might get away with it

p.s Phat hard suspension does have some advantages as you said lol

50mm

IMO

50 mm at front would be ok for a car without aero kit but mine bottoms out already let alone with 50mm front springs

Hi, I'm newbie in this site.

IMO if you lower the car changing only the springs, your shocks are working compressed. 30mm normally are fine, but maybe already at the limit in MCS shocks. For 50mm you need for sure new shocks with shortened pistons.
