Offline | I was told the same by a guy who works at my dealers - he wanted one in pepper white and was told they weren't planning to make them in that colour. This was early Nov so, things could have changed since then. Got it and I LOVE IT! |

Offline | If I had a nickel for all the things I tried to get a Pepper White MCS...I even offered to pay the $1500.00 BMW color option fee. No go. This better not be true for my sake though my build date is today so if it is true, I suppose I could always wait another year to get my car... Had to settle with "pure silver" black roof. $400 just for metallic paint... I still think orange would have been a big hit. |

| Now With More Cowbell | Y'know, seeing that tangerine colour made me think... I was at a Nissan/Infiniti dealership today with my old man (just killing time, folks, not to worry!) and they had new 2003 Xterras in a colour called "Atomic Orange". This hue was straight out of the 1970s paintbox. It looked exactly like my dad's 1974 Beetle: solid non-metallic medium orange without a lot of "shock" value (i.e. it wasn't ratcheted up to singe your eyeballs from 100 paces). Methinks it would make for a stellar MINI colour.... *thinking.....* -CW Global Moderator |

| Now With More Cowbell | A Honda Element? Eeek! Sorry, I can't help myself. Coming from owning three Honda products in a row prior to the MCS, I should be all gung-ho about them, but the Element strikes me as a real retrograde step for Honda. -CW Global Moderator |
