Offline | Do dealers fit Viper stripes? Hi guys, I was talkin to my dealer quite a while ago about gettin silver viper stripes for my ONE. He told me that they'd be able to do it but they didn't have them in stock yet. I rang up the parts dept of my local dealers and the guy i spoke to told me they wouldn't do it! Have any of you guys had vipers installed at a MINI garage? Or has anyone in the west midlands had them done? and if so where did you get them put on? A price would be helpful too ![]() Cheers guys |

Offline | My dealer said they would fit viper stripes for £250. It seemed a bit pricey i thought but apparently it takes them 7 or 8 hours to do properly and also, the dealer had only done 2 cars in total. |

Offline | I had some custom viper stripes made and fitted. It was all arranged through my dealer, but the manufacture and fitting was done at a local decal shop. Cost £100 in total. See Ghostly Viper Stripes pics. The stripes are a 3M material called frosted clear crystal (ref no. 7725-324). It has a metallic sheen in bright sunlight and is available in a range of semi-transparent colours. Doc Croc Cooper S, PW/PW, Delivered Apr. 2007. Offline | i just got a check roof done and some bonnet stripes fitted today. Bought the kit from Kev at Idlegear and got a local sign makers to fit it. Took 1.5 hours to do and cost me £40. Bonnet Stipes took 10 mins top. Surely viper stripes whould be easier to fit than to arrange seperate squares and check if they are aligned properly. The guy that fitted mine was quite good, and made it look easy, can't imagine why BMW would have to go through 3 sets in Willie M's case. Anyhow, my advice is, buy the stipes elsewhere and get a sign makers to fit. |

| The Naughtiest of Birds | I've ordered a MCS in black with thick silver viper stripes from Benham MINI in Wolverhampton. The guy I dealt with said there wouldn't be a problem fitting them. They've quoted me about £180. The dealership has an identical car as a test drive on their forecourt if you're in the area. Viper stripes are quite rare on MINIs as dealerships do have trouble fitting them. Always check them before you hand over any cash, sometimes they can peel off if not fitted properly. |

Offline | Vipers Seen the same S at benhams - very swish. but no pictures sorry. i think good old wayne (sales manager) would be a little concerned. been thinkin about the stripes meself for about amonth now. looks good on black s - especially good over the bonnet intake. not sure how it would look on me black one though. I bloody hate expensive decisions. and yes benhams can be pretty arsey at times. ![]() |
