| Let's Motor. | I'm sort of a clean car obsessed person. I like my Mini to look perfectly clean constantly. I see how nice the Mini's in the showroom at the dealers look like with the wax, and I really want to start waxing my Mini. Does anyone have any information on the best waxing products, and how often it must be applied? Thanks for your help. -MiniMan7 |

Offline | Hi MiniMan, I've been reading a lot of posts here on the wax subject. My MINI's not in yet, but based on what I've read, the Zaino products www.zainobros.com seem to be the ultimate way to go. That's what I'll be using when she arrives! Tom MCS EB/W in March '03 |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | MiniMan7 you've opened a big box here. There are as many (or more) opinions about this topic as there are different types of waxes, polishes, etc. I happen to have been using Zaino (www.zainobros.com) products on my dark silver / black MCS and have been more than pleased with the results. It's quite durable - I applied 12 coats before the nasty winter came here to the Rochester, NY area. My car has frequently been coated with more salt than I like to think about. Yesterday the temperature finally rose above freezing and so I was able to scoot over to the self-serve wash to get the salt & crud off. I was pleased to find that the paint was still shining and water still beading. Others have used different products and they are just as satisfied. If you're really obsessed about this topic, I'd suggest you click here to get to a site dedicated to those who live to keep their cars clean & shiny. You'll find a good deal of information on all the different types of waxes, etc. Lots of good tips there as well. Good luck. |

Offline | Before the Zymol, Meguiars and Autoglym advocates jump in, and a rehash of past threads gets started, I'm closing this thread. As I said, please do a search. Last edited by MINIAC : Feb 4th, 2003 at 01:35 AM. |
